Choosing cable knit symbols

The Symbol palette is at the bottom of the screen.

Select the new symbol by pressing the + sign, then click the active palette item again to edit it. The Edit symbol menu opens.

When you press a symbol, it's name appears in the Name field. In this example purl, purl stitch. Find the one you need, then click Done. The selected symbols move to your palette.

For cable knits, in addition to knit and purl stitches, you need cable stitches of different widths

indicating symbols. The symbol indicates the direction of rotation:

• Cable turn to the left: the stitches moved are brought to the front of the work
• Cable turn to the right: the stitches moved are brought to the back of the work
