Choosing symbols

The symbol palette is at the bottom of the screen and contains 81 different knitting symbols.

Select the symbol by pressing the + sign and then the white box for a moment until the symbol menu opens. Click on the desired symbol and accept the choice Done.

The Edit symbol menu opens. When you press a symbol, the name of the symbol appears in the Name field. In this example below, purl is selected. 

Note that some stitches may have multiple symbol options, and you may also rename any symbol with any name to suit your needs.

Find the symbols you need and click Done. The selected symbols move to your palette.

For hand-knitting lace, you typically need at least the following knitting symbols:

• increase/decrease
• knit and purl
• yarn over
