Using an image

When you create a chart from an image, you will be able to edit it in the main editor to make any adaptations. You will get the best result from a picture with a limited colour palette and defined areas of colour. A small drawing is easier to edit than a large one.

Estimate the number of stitches and rows you will need in your project. Also think about whether you knit the pattern individually, whether it repeats itself in stripes or covers the entire surface of the knitting.

If the pattern has large sections of one colour, think about it in advance, what do you do with the yarn runs or do you knit the pattern with e.g. the ladderback technique.

Also remember the copyright of the images before using this feature.
